The whole community of the Hunter Valley has been shocked to learn of the devastating incident near Greta that has claimed the lives of so many people and injured many more following what should have been a joyous occasion. The impact will be felt not only by those directly affected by the death of a loved one but also by the broader community of whom those loved ones were a part.
We must remember also those who responded to the incident – NSW Police, NSW Ambulance, Fire+Rescue NSW, and other agencies – as they come to terms with the situation they found themselves in this long weekend.
